Trainer - Versailles, KY

For Ben Colebrook, training horses has been a lifetime experience. A second-generation horse trainer and farm manager, Colebrook studied Business at the University of Kentucky all while enriching his hands-on experiences in horse sales and breaking yearlings.

Early in his career, Colebrook worked for Bill Harrigan at Miacomet Farms, a breaking and training facility in Georgetown, KY that has produced dozens of Grade I winners. 

After his work at Miacomet, Colebrook made a exciting professional move to work with Christophe Clement in 2008, a legendary trainer and multiple Graded Stakes Winner with career winnings surpassing $100 million.

Winter at KeenelandVenturing out on his own in 2012, Ben has gone on to become a multiple Graded Stakes winning trainer in his own right. His first Grade 3 victory was the 2014 Pin Oak Valley View with Sparkling Review, who went on to win the 2014 Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2) that same year.

Ben is also the trainer of four-time Graded Stakes winner Limousine Liberal, and became a Grade One winner after his training expertise took 70-1 longshot Knicks Go to the winner's circle at the Claiborne Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland's 2018 Fall Meet.

Ben keeps stable at Keeneland, Turfway, and Churchill Downs when the meet is on. He winters in Palm Meadows, Florida.
