Parawan in foal to Scalding son of Nyquist. Her female line includes FIERCENESS 14 7-2-2 $5,785,320 as well as current stallions OUTWORK and CAIRO PRINCE! Looking out on the female branches there is many more stakes horse and black type winners from the females of this family, and her direct line is about as good as it gets.
She is by sired by Pioneer of the Nile who has himself proven to be a solid broodmare sire before his early death. She is in foal to Scalding son of Nyquist. who’s first crop is yearlings in 2025. I looked at pictures of her yearling colt by Scalding and he looked very good physically.
Time will tell if he proves out as a stallion, but the mares pedigree speaks for itself, and she has many more breeding years ahead for us. We are fortunate being able to buy a class mare with her pedigree. Lots of exceptional stallions she crosses good with to breed her back next year.
