It is with great sadness that we say good bye to our beloved mare Princess Kylise.
Princess passed un-expectedly due to an embolic aneurysm this last month. “Just the evening before she greeted me at the fence as always and was her usual self,” says Jeff Callan. “She wanted her attention as she always does.” Princess was always happy and the forever social butterfly in the pasture and around the farm. Princess was loved by all and her presence and good cheer will be greatly missed.
“After her first foal was still born this spring, we were excited to get her back into foal again,” states Callan. “Her first foal was a beautiful very big and well-made filly and breeding her back to Tale of Ekati gave us lots to look forward to next spring”. Now with her loss her legacy that remains is the memory of her good cheer and sweet disposition. “When I was gone and my help called me on their cell phone and they were on speaker and Princess was nearby she would hear my voice and want to get to the cell phone,” Callan said. “Just who Princess was–it was impossible not to get close to her.”
Princess will live on in our hearts and fond memories. She will be greatly missed.
