Former Shamrock Highlands farm resident The Wicked Cat won at Evangaline going 5 1/2f in 58.94. The “Cat” broke from PP # 8 dueled with the leader and took command at the 1/8 pole drawing off to win by 2 lengths. Affectionally known to us at the farm as “Newbie” he came to Shamrock Highlands with Grandma’s Rules as a weanling. “He was a little small and I thought a bit narrow in the front but otherwise a nice little colt” says Jeff Callan-Managing Director at Shamrock Highlands. He was Louisianna bred and I really wanted Grandma and we ended up selling the Colt as a yearling”. “We give them the best of care and nutrition and he grew up well here at the farm. I really debated selling him when the time came “. All the Shamrock Highlands team want to congratulate owner/trainer Yovani Munoz, Jockey Joel Dominquez for a great ride, and Breeder Michael Jody Leger. It was great to see him with a well-earned win. Grandmas Rules winner of 7 out of 15 starts is doing well at the farm and has a weanling colt by Oxbow. “Our Oxbow colt is a very nice colt and we are excited to watch him grow up and develop,” said Callan. Investment opportunities are still available in the Oxbow colt. For more information contact us.
